We advertised Miner in computer magazines just like we used to do for the TRS-80 games. Of course by now we could afford full-color ads. Notice how the ad proudly proclaims that Miner was written for the Atari and it wasn't some lousy converted Apple game! Check out those cheezy game screenshots! Too bad we didn't have color inkjets back then!
Here's part of a Micro Fun ad. In it you can see the ad for Scraper Caper, which may be in the dictionary under "vaporware". Also visible is the box for their own sequel "Miner 2049er II" which featured additional levels they designed.
Yep, Miner was pretty popular. If you had a computer then the odds were pretty good that there was a version of Miner 2049er for your system. We ran an advertisement in Electronic Games magazine boasting of our licensing success.
